Who Can Use the Yoga-Mad EVA Foam Wedge?
Yoga wedges, or planks, are often used by Iyengar teachers and students to prevent hyperextension in various poses. They help prevent pressure and wrist pain in Down and Up Dog, and can be used in Full Wheel to raise the palms. You can also place the wedge under your heels in Down Dog or during a wide squat if you suffer from tight calves.
How Do I Use the EVA Foam Yoga Wedge?
The Yoga-Mad EVA Wedge can help you to find the correct position for a pose and stay in it for longer. Try adding the wedge to some regular yoga poses, including the following:
- Downward dog: Place under the feet or palms depending which area is more prone to pain to alleviate discomfort.
- Staff pose: Sit on the wedge in order to elevate the pelvis. This will help you form the pose more easily and naturally.
- Warrior pose: Place the wedge under the heel of your back foot to make this posture more manageable.
