The Periform Probe for Primo Therapy Machines is a 34mm intra-vaginal probe that can be used to treat stress, mixed or urge incontinence. It can be used in conjunction with a muscle stimulator or biofeedback device, providing you with an easier way to monitor.

How Is This Probe Used?

There are three main uses for the Periform probe:

• Used with a muscle stimulator unit, it can deliver a gentle electric current to the pelvic floor muscles. This helps to tone and strengthen the muscles.
• Alongside a biofeedback device it can be used to pick up electrical activity in the pelvic floor. This information can be fed back to the device to help inform the patient if their are contracting their muscles effectively.
• The Periform is supplied with a unique indicator wand which can be used as a visual aid to help teach patients to carry out pelvic floor exercises. An indicator on the wand will move upwards or downwards depending on whether pelvic floor muscle exercises are being carried out correctly or not.
