H-Wave Pain Relief Instrument
The H-Wave Pain Relief Instrument is a non-invasive and drug-free approach to pain relief and rehabilitation. It encourages a quicker rate of healing for effective recovery, and can reduce the effects of such conditions as oedema.
Indications of the H-Wave
The H-Wave Instrument provides relief from pain caused by a wide range of conditions affecting muscles and limbs. Suitable conditions for treatment include:
- Muscular spasm
- Arthritis
- Acute injuries
- Referred pain
- Frozen shoulder
- Whiplash injuries
It is also suitable for combined therapy of 2Hz, 16Hz, and 60Hz. Conditions for such treatment include:
- Frozen shoulder
- Tennis elbow/golfer’s elbow
- Muscle strains
- Back, neck, and knee pain
- Achilles tendinitis
How Does the H-Wave Work?
The H-Wave Instrument uses a signal that is natural to the human body. By emulating the H-reflex (Hoffman’s reflex) found in nerve signals, it provides deeper penetration of a low frequency current while using less power than other machines.
The natural waveform of the signal enables two or three signals of different frequencies and amplitudes to be injected simultaneously. When used at 60Hz (equivalent to 120Hz TENS mode), it acts as an analgesic/anaesthetic. At 2Hz, it actives muscle stimulation, which is the main form of treatment.
Benefits of the H-Wave
When used as part of treatment for pain relief, the H-Wave encourages muscle stimulation, which in turn increases blood flow to the injured area to promote healing. This can also reduce oedema by encouraging the draining of the lymphatic system.
The H-Wave is also particularly prominent in dealing with more difficult conditions such as the amputation of limbs of diabetic patients where poor circulation prevents rapid healing.
