How Do I Use the Escape Fitness Aerobic Step Platform?

Designed to support all kinds of workouts, deciding which one to perform and how can be tricky. Thankfully, the Escape Fitness team have composed an 11-part series that outlines the full functionality of the Aerobic Step Platform. See part one of this tutorial down below.

Anatomical Markings

In a stand-out green colour, the Step Platform features four circles located on top of the board to improve precision. Aim for the two inner circles when performing standard step-up exercises or aim for the outer circles for more intensity. For correct push-up form, position your hands on the outer circles to achieve a full range of motion.

Anti-Slip Thermoplastic

To ensure maximum safety, the Escape Fitness Platform is made with anti-slip thermoplastic rubber. The rubber matt on top of the platform provides essential grip so that fast movements can be performed safely and confidently. The stabilising feet at the bottom of the platform are also made from TPE to stop it from sliding out from underneath the user while they’re exercising.

Two Levels of Grip

The thermoplastic rubber at the top of the platform is designed with two different tread levels suitable for different exercises. The smoother areas in the centre of the platform are better for movements that require twisting or turning of the feet and are also softer for your hands when performing push-ups. The tougher tread areas around the outside are more suited for explosive jump movements that are more likely to cause slips.

Located at the bottom of the Escape Step Platform are multiple rivets designed to hold resistance tubes securely in place. This practical feature adds an extra level of versatility to your workout and gives you the freedom to perform multiple different exercises on the same platform.

Increase the Intensity

Already a brilliant product on it’s own, you can go for the full experience by combining the platform with the Escape Fitness Aerobic Step Riser. These smaller platforms can be used by themselves or added to the bottom of the Step Platform to increase the height or create an incline. Examples of how you can configure the Step and Riser are shown below:
